Julio Caldas is a musician, producer, and researcher of plucked string instruments, with a career marked by aesthetic diversity. His original work ranges from blues, choro, Northeastern music, and Afro-Bahian roots. As a member of the band Café com Blues, he has performed alongside central artists of Brazilian music, such as Beth Carvalho, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethânia, Pepeu Gomes, and Danilo Caymmi. He is the creator and producer of the Mostra, the Circuito, and the Trio de Guitarra Baiana. He was awarded the Dodô and Osmar Trophy, nominated for the Caymmi Trophy, and a finalist at the Educadora FM Festival. |
